Golf Balls are essential to your game. Not only do you need them to play but having a good type of ball in the bag is essential to good scoring. Every ball has a different feel off it. Between soft and hard there are plenty of different types to choose from. The most important thing is that it’s right for your particular game.
The Pro V1 and Pro V1x are two balls at the top of the market in the golfing world today. They are the most used ball in professional and amateur golf. Between distance off the tee and control with the short irons there is no disputing that they are the best.
On the other hand there are more golf balls on the lower pricing scale that can be good for low, mid and high handicaps games. Coming away from Titleist for a minute and stepping into Callaways range, there are two balls that stick out in my mind that are turning more heads. The Supersoft and the Chromesoft. Named literally as the feel they open up a new, more affordable side to good golf balls for amateurs. The shell they possess is a lot tougher than the Pro V balls which means you can get a lot more use from the lack of wear and tear. After the Pro V balls Titleist offer more and more to the customer as you go down the list. Everything from a hard Velocity ball to a softer NXT Tour S.
I hope this has given you a bit more direction to what ball might suit your game but if not please ask myself or one of the other staff members in our Pro Shop and we will be more than happy to answer any questions you have.
