October Ladies Club Results

Dear Ladies,

Please find below recent results.  As you know non-qualifying golf was introduced w/c 16th October.  Domestic Points have now come into force.  For those of you unfamiliar with this system, it is adopted when non-qualifying golf is introduced.  As handicaps do not change during this period, it is a way of ensuring fair play in the winter.  If you win a competition, you accumulate one point.   For example, if you win three competitions – you accumulate 3 points.  Say you return a score of 30 points – this will be reduced to 27 points.  An update of Domestic Points and will be included in my weekly emails.  See attached.

The Winter League commenced this week.  There is no entry fee – once you play your score will be entered into the league.  For the 7 Day Members – the rules state that you can play on Wednesday and both days at the weekend and your best card for the three days will be entered.  However, as only 13 holes are now being played on Wednesday, in order to have your card included you will need to finish out 18 holes – or else just play at the weekend! (Only 13 holes will be used for the Stableford competition).

There have been a lot of emails advising you of dates of upcoming events.  The Charity Day takes place on Friday 17th November and the Club have sent details of how you can play and support this event.

After that , e have the last prize-giving of the year on Wednesday, November 22nd.  All the Major prizes will be presented that evening so please try to come along.  There will be a nine hole scramble beforehand followed by dinner and awards at 7pm.  Tee times from 1pm – 2pm (it will be dark by 4.30pm).  Time sheet will open soon.

Matchplay Finals:  The winners of all the Matchplay competitions (Singles, Foursomes & Mixed) will be presented at the Major Prize Giving on November 22nd.  Some of the categories have taken an exceptionally long time to be played this year.  Please ensure all finals have been played before November 22nd.  No exceptions will be made to this deadline.
